This TV news story is based on the new book released by ATREE on the sidelines of the Kerala Bio diversity conference held at Thiruvananthapuram in February 2017.
Titled Invertebrate diversity and conservation in Western Ghats , India, it is edited by a team of ATREE scientists headed by Dr Priyadharshanan Dharma Rajan. Conservation in the Western Ghats has popularly dwelt on and deemed to be the protection of the elephant and tiger species. Dr Priydharshanan contradicts this traditional scientific paradigm.
“Unless we protect invertebrates , all Western Ghats conservation efforts will not be fruitful.”
